In its second year, the seven-day, multi-stage mountain bike race from Victoria to Whistler, British Columbia, is touted as one of the most challenging races of its kind. Founded in January 2007 by the cycling families of Steve Lisa and Doug Loveday, RideClean’s positive mission is to create  a culture within cycling such that the united position or endorsement of the members of RideClean will hold significant weight, consequently influencing teams and athletes regarding sporting ethics. The team was born under the philosophy that a happy rider will perform better and more consistently than an unhappy one. NORTH VANCOUVER, Canada (June 11, 2008)Ryders Eyewear has a new woman on the team. And, besides bringing an outdoor industry background and fresh ideas to the value-priced eyewear manufacturer, she brings a love for climbing, kayaking, backcountry skiing, surfing and Latin American culture to the table.

Meet Jenya Draganov. The Ukraine-born, Vancouver, British Columbia resident recently joinedse asia 184 the Ryders Eyewear  family as marketing coordinator and hopes to bring a new, young perspective of outdoor culture to the company. Living in the Vancouver area since the age of nine, Jenya graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in psychology and a minor in business. While in college, her passion for the outdoors grew and she was a major part of UBC’s Outdoor Varsity Club; organizing and handling the logistics for the club’s excursions.

Before grabbing a desk at Ryders Eyewear, Jenya worked in outdoor retail for eight years schlepping gear and planted tress in the Kootenay region of British Columbia. Her free time was filled with travels around the globe. Jenya’s interest in Latin culture has brought her to many parts of central and south America and she is on a focused path to becoming fluent in Spanish. She also has an eclectic taste of music which she says, “is all over the place.”

“Ryders’ big selling point for me is their dedication to the outdoors,” says Jenya. “I enjoy and understand the market Ryders is involved in and targets.”

Ryders Eyewear Hires Five New Sales Reps To Help Grow Brand

NORTH VANCOUVER, Canada, (March 14, 2008) – Ryders Eyewear, the premiere supplier of affordable, quality performance and lifestyle eyewear, has recently added five new sales representatives to its growing team. All the new reps bring strong outdoor knowledge and sales experience to the Ryders Eyewear crew that has added 13 new styles of sunglasses to its attractive lines for 2008 with the Adrenaline and Chill Collections.

Now, introducing the new reps:

Mark Waddle, president of Michigan-based Active Pursuit sales agency, joins Ryders in the Great Lakes region and will cover Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky. Waddle brings solid outdoor retail and sales management experience to the team and some of his past clients include Mountainsmith, Body Glove wetsuits and Lowa Boots.

Bringing 20 years of outdoor sales knowledge to Ryders, Colorado-based Jim Buderus started his sales rep career in the surf and resort wear industries. Sunglasses are Buderus’ forte too, having represented Vuarnet, Hobie and Costa del Mar in the past. His main areas of expertise lie in the biking and running genres.

Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, David Olson and Chet Cisek of Wild Moon sales agency will be tag-teaming North and South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and northern Missouri. The duo brings decades of outdoor experience to Ryders and, in addition, currently represent other outdoor product lines. Both new reps are life-long outdoor enthusiasts and have gained product knowledge from personal use in the full four seasons their territory provides.

Avid cyclist and finisher of 19 Ironman distance triathlons, Chris Gebhardt will surely assist Ryders in promoting their new Adrenaline and Chill Collections. Possessing a stellar knowledge of the outdoor industry where he has spent the last 11 years as a sales rep for numerous cycling-related companies, Gebhardt will cover the tri-state area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut for Ryders.

Ryders Eyewear To Sponsor Nation’s Largest Triathlon Production Firm

NORTH VANCOUVER, Canada, (February 27, 2008) - Ryders Eyewear has joined Set Up Events as its official eyewear sponsor for the 2008 triathlon season. The sponsorship includes a combination of Web site and event sponsorship elements. Ryders plans on promoting the new sponsorship by showcasing many models, including their performance focused Adrenaline Collection.

This year, Ryders is proud to be the sole eyewear sponsor of Backpacker Magazine’s eighth Get Out More Tour which will commence in April 2008 and run through November 2008.

The one-of-a-kind mobile Tour will spend 30 weeks on the road visiting 55 venues in 35 states, while reaching out to more than 55,000 outdoor enthusiasts. Stopping at retail shops, outdoor festivals and college campuses, the Get Out More Road Team will offer in-depth workshops and presentations, as well as guided experiential adventures for active and aspiring outdoor goers.
